Para mi deleite, en un principio, la idea para la imagen de la cubierta era realizar un homenaje al mítico Rue 13 del Percebe de Ibáñez, donde se mostrase a cada uno de los vecinos en el interior de sus viviendas. Lamentablemente el diseño no funcionaba, era demasiado complejo introducir el título en el patio interior del edificio.
Finalmente, la ilustración de la radiografía del edificio aparece en el interior del libro para presentar a los personajes de la historia.
En la imagen de la cubierta también aparecen los personajes, pero vistos desde el patio de luces, en un plano picado que añade dramatismo y dinamismo a la escena.
